I tried to go back and Like the egg after getting it (because I was afraid to click Like before, only to find out it was already taken by someone else, at which point I would not click Like but instead would leave a comment that it was gone). When I went back, the egg was gone. That's why I thought it you got it, it disappeared. I can do both if it helps posters know that their egg is definitely gone.

no like required eggs disappear once grabbed you cannot backspace to see if its gone it will appear to be there if you backspace, you have to go back to the top and scroll down and will see it is gone

It doesn't disappear if it shows that "someone has grabbed this egg" It disappears when you go through both steps.
